Advent festival in Westminster

  A celebration of Catholic culture is being held at Westminster Cathedral hall on Saturday 11 November. Archbishop Cormac Murphy-O'Connor will be officially opening the event. There will be talks, workshops and displays from publishers, bookshops, charities and organisations, as well as music and drama. Events during the day include: * workshops on Catholicism and film, music and architecture. * A presentation on Seeing Salvation, the recent exhibition at the National Gallery. * A participation workshop on Gregorian chant by Dr Mary Berry * The Rose Round, a youth drama team from Oxford will be staging a special drama presentation. * Music from the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School choir. The festival runs from 10am - 6pm. There will be refreshments all day. Admission is free.
