Making our churches more inclusive
Does your church or parish centre have disabled access, or special facilities for people in wheelchairs? Do you have a hearing loop for the deaf, or large print books for people with sight problems? There are a number of sources of grant aid and advice available to make churches and church life more inclusive for everybody. The inter-church charity 'Through the Roof' has just brought out a useful leaflet with information on the forthcoming Disability Discrimination Act which may affect some church buildings. It also includes advice on funding sources; holiday and retreat facilities and training courses.
