The Daughters of St Paul are launching a branch of Pauline Books and Media at a newly built centre in St Mary's Cathedral tomorrow, the Feast of Corpus Christi. The formal opening and blessing by Bishop Ambrose will take place with Mass at 5.30pm. The new centre at the Cathedral, opposite Newcastle Central Station, is a professional business venture that will enable the Daughters of St Paul, an international Catholic community of religious in 54 countries, to promote the Gospel using the most modern means of communication. The spacious, purpose-built Centre at the Cathedral carries a comprehensive selection of books, cds, videos and dvds, posters, calendars, icon materials, cards and certificates, religious education material plus a range of interactive software for Christians of all denominations.
