Procession of Our Lady Help of Christians in north London
Annual celebrations for the Feast of Our Lady Help of Christians were held in Manor House on Trinity Sunday. Mass at the Church of St Thomas More began with a procession of children carrying flowers and the crowning of the statue of Our Lady. Canon Pat Browne was the chief celebrant with parish priest Fr Clive Lee, Fr Hugh Preston SDB and other priests from the Society of Don Bosco.
Special guests included the High Commissioner for Malta with his wife. Seven new members were enrolled into the Association of Mary, Help of Christians. They were: Vicky Adetimole, Carmel Carmenzuli, Agnel De Souza, Carmelina De Souza, Fabian De Souza. Joseph Hilarie, and Myra Pompey
After Mass the statue of Our Lady was carried in procession through the streets of Manor House to the Ursuline Convent where a party was held in the house and grounds. 2008 is a very special year for Mother Eugenia Pantalleresco. On Sunday October 12 she will be celebrating the Golden Anniversary of her religious profession.
The day will be marked with a special Mass and reception at St Thomas'.
