Bookings have opened for Adoremus Liverpool 2026: We Are Eucharist, taking place at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral on Saturday 10 October.
Organised by the Archdiocese of Liverpool, the free event offers Catholics across the northwest and beyond the opportunity to participate in a day centred on the Eucharist, particularly for those who are unable to travel to the national Adoremus celebrations taking place in London.
Running from 9am until 6pm, the programme combines liturgy, formation and prayer, with visitors welcome to attend for the whole day or join individual elements of the programme.
The day will involve workshops exploring prayer through art, Godly Play and spirituality, a Taizé prayer experience, a Franciscan Jubilee celebration, a Romero Rosary led by the White Fathers. It will conclude with a Eucharistic Procession, the Blessing of the City, and a Vigil led by Archbishop John Sherrington.
Archbishop John Sherrington said: "I invite you to Adoremus: We are Eucharist - in Liverpool. It is an opportunity to join with Catholics around the country in renewing our love for Christ present in the Eucharist. Jesus is the Bread of Life. We worship him and we love him as he feeds us with his Body and Blood. I invite you to pray together with me at the Cathedral and renew our lives in Him."
Elizabeth Parsons, Head of Pastoral Development for the Archdiocese of Liverpool, said: "Our hope is that Adoremus Liverpool will help people encounter Christ more deeply in the Eucharist and leave renewed in faith for mission in their communities. Whether you come for the whole day or simply join us for a workshop or two, or the procession or the Vigil, everyone is welcome. We're delighted to be bringing this opportunity to Liverpool for those who may not be able to travel to London, and we hope people from across the northwest will join us"
Workshops are free to attend but require advance booking due to limited capacity.
The organisers hope the day will draw pilgrims from across the region and beyond for a celebration of worship, learning and fellowship in one of Britain's most recognisable Catholic cathedrals.
