Webinar for Clergy: Preaching the Gospel during genocide in Gaza

On Monday, 31 August, Cardinal Alvaro Ramazzini, Professor Omer Bartov, and Fr David Neuhaus SJ, will be taking part in an online conversation to discuss: Why is it important for a priest to speak out against genocide the Genocide in Gaza? Why saying that it is a genocide is not antisemitic? and, Why genocide is a human rights issue and not a partisan one?

The webinar, for priests, will take place at 12noon - 1.30pm New York time, 5pm- 6.30pm London time and 6-7.30pm Rome time.

Cardinal Alvaro Ramazzini - often referred to as a 'Frontier bishop,' has dedicated his ministry to social justice in Guatemala, championing the rights of indigenous Mayan communities and migrants, advocating for peace during Guatemala's civil war.

Professor Omer Bartov is an Israeli American historian and Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Brown University. Born in Israel and educated at Tel Aviv University and St Antony's College, Oxford, Bortov is widely regarded as one of the world's leading authorities on genocide.

Fr David Neuhaus SJ, is an Israeli Jesuit priest, born in South Africa to a Jewish family. A long-term member of the Holy Land Catholic Church's Justice and Peace Commission, he writes widely on Scripture, Jewish-Christian relations, and the situation in Israel/Palestine.
