Gaza's children now sleep among rats and disease

The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza has reached a new and deeply troubling dimension.
The total collapse of solid waste management since October 2023 has created catastrophic public health conditions in the Strip's overcrowded tent camps. Children are waking up at night as rodents bite them while they sleep. Medical teams report treating rodent-related incidents every day.
Doctors warn of potential outbreaks of Hantavirus, Leptospirosis, and other life-threatening illnesses. Aid organisations can no longer safely store food, as supplies are destroyed by rodents before reaching families in need.

We keep all the suffering people in Gaza in our prayers.
