In this short film, Mimi Yates from the Daily Mail visits the Religious of Mary Immaculate hostel in South Kensington, where young women of all faiths and none are choosing to live - and loving it there. The rent is very reasonable and facilities comfortable. There are a few rules - boys are allowed in the communal areas but not upstairs in the girl's rooms - and there is a curfew. But the film shows the real sense of community and the kindness of the sisters to the young women. One resident said she had planned just to stay for a short time when she first arrived in London but she likes it so much - its cosy and she's made so many friends there - she would like to stay. The sisters aren't judgemental, another resident said - she's training to be burlesque dancer and the sisters have seen her performance and clapped.

London can be be tough city for a young person and the sisters offer safety, support and encouragement.

One former resident wrote: "I lived in the convent in 1998 for a few years, and the job that the sisters and their congregation do with girls and women around the world is exceptional. I'm very happy by the way they are portrayed in the video because they truly are good persons, thank you."

Another commented: "My 11 years in London would have not been the same without them, they were an indirect yet important influence on my development as a young professional adult. I will be forever grateful to Sister Valentina, Sr Lucia, Sr Amparo, Sr Patricia, Sr Begoña and all the sisters during my time there. They gave me a home away from home, affection and a very much needed stability as a young person in a big foreign city. And as a practicing Catholic they helped me keep my faith alive."

And one said: "They also have a house in New York. The Religious of Mary Immaculate are incredibly kind, sweet, and caring, always making sure you are happy and healthy. Love them! Angels on earth. "
