Today marks the beginning of Lent. Each week, Friends of the Holy Land will be sharing with you personal stories from our brothers and sisters in Christ and their individual special prayers.
Our first story is a short video featuring Daniel, a young Christian from the Holy Land. Thanks to your support Daniel is completing his studies in Nursing at Bethlehem University, with help from Friends of the Holy Land.
In the video, you'll hear firsthand what daily life is like for Daniel, the challenges he faces and the hope that sustains him. These stories remind us that behind the headlines are faithful people seeking to live, work and worship in difficult circumstances.

Brendan Metcalfe, Friends of the Holy Land CEO says: "Thank you for taking a few minutes to watch and to stand with Daniel in prayer. Your prayers are a real source of encouragement to our brothers and sisters in the land where Jesus once walked.
"After watching, I invite you to pray specifically for Daniel's request, and more broadly for peace, provision and perseverance for Christian communities across the Holy Land.
"Thank you for continuing to stand with Friends of the Holy Land through your prayers and support."
