Rooted in Hope: Building biodiversity

This is a Christians Aware resource towards building biodiversity. It is a significant contribution towards education for understanding the role every person must play in building biodiversity so that the future of life on Earth is ensured. It is aimed at adults but is also suitable for older children and young people.

The challenge to offer this resource came from the United Nations. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, were set by the United Nations in 2015 and the plan is that they will be fulfilled by 2030, only five years away.

As David Attenborough has said: "It is the whole range of biodiversity that we must care for - the whole thing, rather than one or two stars."

The main section is 'Stories of Hope' where good things are happening to reverse the decline of species and to build biodiversity. Ellen Teague of the Columban Missionaries contributed a chapter on 'Eco-systems.'
