Letter to David Lammy after deadly attack on church in Gaza

Dear Foreign Secretary David Lammy

I was saddened and outraged to hear of the bombing by the IDF, of the only Catholic Church in Gaza. This church received daily phone calls from the late Pope Francis.

It was a Church that provided food and shelter for Christian and Muslim without prejudice. It demonstrated the best of humanity.

Please condemn this wicked action, along with many others, carried out by the IDF. Israel is contravening so many international statutes, many of which were drawn up to protect Jews after the Second World War.

This is a criminal act and should be called out by our Government.
