In this week's timely episode of the All Kinds of Catholic podcast, Fr Giacomo shares how he responded to the Lord calling him to religious life and how he is now living his faith as a Missionary of the Sacred Heart. The Feast of the Sacred Heart falls on Friday and Fr Giacomo tells listeners that, 'Our motto is to bring the love of the heart of God into the world, or to be on earth, the heart of God.'
A recent podcast episode is titled, 'My faith has been forged in a fire.' It features Antonia whose Loudfence work centres the voices of people who have been abused. During this affecting conversation Antonia says, ''You don't have to choose between the practice of your faith and your care for people who've suffered abuse.' This prompted a listener to respond with, 'Wow, your conversation with Antonia was an eye opener. Safeguarding as a vocation.'
The All Kinds of Catholic podcast is created and hosted by Theresa Alessandro. In each episode, Theresa is in conversation with a different Catholic guest exploring how they live their faith in the world today. She says, 'The podcast content is free and will remain so. There are no adverts either. It's important to me that these conversations with ordinary Catholic people are lifted up with honesty and dignity to encourage, and perhaps challenge, all of us.'
Upcoming episodes will feature a woman with Romanian heritage whose faith is inspired by a religious sister, and a man's family road trip taking in Lourdes and Rome. New episodes are released on Wednesdays. There will be a special episode for 6th August, the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and of Nagasaki.

The All Kinds of Catholic podcast is created and hosted by Theresa Alessandro. In each episode, Theresa is in conversation with a different Catholic guest exploring how they live their faith in the world today. Guests will often be people who are not in the public eye. Taken together, their stories illustrate the image Pope Francis uses in Evangelii Gaudium, of a 'chaotic…genuine experience of fraternity, a caravan of solidarity, a sacred pilgrimage' experienced by Catholic people 'stepping into this floodtide' of life. More recently Pope Leo, quoting Saint Augustine, reminds us, 'Let us live well and the times will be good. We are the times.' Those 'times' can be discovered in these conversations.
