London: Eid kite flying for Palestine

Families with children will be gathering on Parliament Hill, Hampstead Heath this Sunday to celebrate the Muslim feast of Eid al Adha, and express support for the suffering people of Palestine with kite flying, face painting, games and picnics.
One parishioner from Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Kentish Town, said: "what a brilliant community effort and event, bringing people together to cry out against the evils of the world's divisions, while celebrating the joys of unity in diversity."
Rahima Kamaly, from Camden Friends of Palestine told ICN: "With heavy hearts, we invite our friends in Camden and beyond to this year's Eid Kite Day - an afternoon of joy, remembrance, and resistance.
As we mark Eid, let us come together as a community of all faiths - or none - and any ethnicity to celebrate while holding our Palestinian brothers and sisters close in our hearts. Let our kites carry prayers, hope, and solidarity into the sky.
We will share food and stand united - for freedom, for peace, for Palestine."
