Racial Justice Fortnight begins on the 28th of January with Racial Justice Sunday celebrated by the Catholic Church in England and Wales and ends with the Ecumenical celebrations on 11th of February.

The theme is: "Seeing one another in the life of the Church". It is important to recognise that we are all children of God, regardless of our race and background.

This year we are celebrating the diversity of those who have led holy and exemplary lives. Our Catholic saints walked in this world as we do and were men and women of heroic virtue that can intercede for us to bring our prayers to the Lord. The Fortnight finishes with Racial Justice Sunday (11 February 2024) as celebrated by the other Churches - led by Churches Together Britain and Ireland (CTBI). The theme is 'Exodus: God's people on the Move', which focuses on those who have been forced to leave homes and livelihoods for a variety of reasons, and the welcome they receive when they arrive in a new place. The Catholic Association for Racial Justice (CARJ) is supporting both events; and will be making some information and resources available throughout Racial Justice Fortnight.
