Pray and March for Climate Justice

This Saturday, 9 December, the London Jesuit Centre will be hosting a prayer event with hot drinks and refreshments from 10-11am in the Aula Magna to pray for action at COP28 in Dubai as well as beyond. There will be time for reflection, an update on COP28 so far, and words on why we should be involved in climate action as Christians.
Participants will then walk to St James Square, SW1Y 4LE, where they will join other faith groups, including CAFOD, Christian Aid and Tearfund, for a moment of reflection on the need for leaders to act at COP28.
The route for the COP28 march will go from outside the BP offices in St James Square and end at Trafalgar Square. There will be a short rally at each location, and the COP event will end by 2pm.
A separate National March calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories will gather in Trafalgar Square on the way to Parliament Square around this time. For those with the energy - it should be possible to join this march after the climate rally.
There are also many climate events taking place around the country on Saturday. Find local actions and events near you on the COP28 Global Day of Action here: https://climatejustice.uk/9-december-day-of-action-for-climate-justice/
