The Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology (MBIT) in Cambridge has just announced the publication of their latest brochure of online courses, study days and events for the coming academic year (2023/24)

The brochure details the wide range of online courses offered at the Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology, Cambridge, from whole MA programmes, to individual modules, short courses, study days and events.

The rich variety of topics covered include: key thinkers in Christian Spirituality, Spirituality and the Arts, Aquinas's Christology, Ethics, bioethics, and Biblical Studies. Our courses and events will also enable you to delve into contemporary dialogue on the synodal Church, interfaith dialogue, and a symposium on the diaconal ordination of women.

There are early-bird offers available for a number of short-courses, including:

- Exploring Biblical Voices (Oct-Dec 2023) - a ten-week course engaging with a range of biblical texts and methods taught by ten leading biblical scholars.

- Being in Pandemic: Science, Ethics & Soul (Oct-Nov 2023) - a five-week course integrating scientific, ethical, and personal experiences on the impact of the pandemic on what it means to be human.

You may also find the following new course for the coming academic year particularly inspiring:

- Christian Spirituality East & West (Sep-Nov 2023) - a ten-week course introducing you to major approaches, texts and thinkers in the rich tradition of Christian Spirituality in Eastern (Orthodox) and Western traditions (from the spirituality of the Early Church, to early monastic expressions, the Late Middle Ages, the early modernity of 19th century, to the present day).

This year's brochure will be continually updated during the academic year, with hyperlinks taking you to summary pages for each course and Eventbrite links to book your place on the courses.

Please read through the brochure and explore the creative range of online courses on offer at MBIT that may increase 'the breadth and length and height and depth' of your knowledge and love of God (cf. Eph 3:18-19), deepened through opening yourself to the best of current scholarship in spirituality, ethics, theology, biblical studies, and interfaith dialogue from the heart of Cambridge.
