Still time to apply for School for Synodality's Programmes

The School for Synodality, that works in collaboration to help us become a synodal church, invites individuals and those leading in parishes to apply for its Innovation Programme or its Parish Programme. The two separate programme are aimed at those creating new innovative ventures in the Church, and also those leading in parishes who are wanted to taking the next step in developing synodally. There's still an opportunity to be part of this journey with a deadline for expressions of interest now the 3rd of October.

The Parish Programme: Support for local leaders in parishes who want to help them grow synodal way, and take the next step in responding tangibly to what has already been raised in listening processes. Maybe improving our welcome ministry or reforming our pastoral council with a missionary focus? Or something else that makes sense in your own particular context.

The Innovation Programme: Doing things in new ways isn't easy, trying new types of ministry in the Church is challenging, but new ideas and approaches are essential for us to grow into becoming a more synodal church. Though these creative new projects may not be explicitly about synodality, the programme exists to support a cohort of those who are wanting to foster new cultures and new ways of being disciples in todays church and world.

Chris Knowles, a co-director of the School for Synodality said: "Through these 15 month programmes we'll offer individual support around planning, networking and offer regular online meetings for the whole cohort with relevant input for those involved. Our broader hope is to develop a network of mutual support so that we can, together, support one another in these two areas, and help us better become a synodal church!"

The School for Synodality is a collaboration between the Catholic Diocese of Northampton and Synod Fruits.
