Cambridge: Gala Concert for Susannah Roberts Memorial Bursary and Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology

The internationally acclaimed cellist, Hannah Roberts, and celebrated pianist, Simon Parkin will perform in the Gala Fundraising Concert for the Susannah Roberts Memorial Bursary for Aspiring Cellists and Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology on 10 June at 3pm in Fitzwilliam College Chapel. They will play pieces by Ludwig von Beethoven, Frank Bridge, and Gabriel Faure.

The evening promises a unique and powerful musical experience. After the concert you are invited to socialize and celebrate with a glass of wine. Tickets start at £5. This event is open to all and is part of the Margaret Beaufort Institute's Anniversary Celebrations.All proceeds will go towards the provision of educational opportunities for gifted aspiring cellists to further their futures by attending professional master classes run by Hannah Roberts and for the advancement of theological education for able but financially constrained candidates to attend courses/read for degrees at the Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology.

Susannah Roberts is an alumna of both the Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology and Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, and undertook a degree at the age of 66 in Theology & Religious Studies at Cambridge after a career spent teaching the cello. Hannah Roberts is her daughter.
