'My donation changed my life' - Catholic fundraisers summer reception

Dozens of Catholics fundraisers gathered for the annual 'Catholics in fundraising' reception on 17 May, to share professional experiences. They also heard from the Director of the Centre for Philanthropy at the University of Kent, Dr Beth Breeze.

Dr Breeze talked about the many challenges fundraisers and philanthropists face in supporting the work of the church. Despite negativity, some givers shared 'I get so much pleasure out of giving'.

Quoting Mother Theresa, Dr Breeze encouraged Catholics involved in fundraising to 'start with the person next door' in order to grow the resources the church needs for its mission for years to come.
