Carol services for Pact in London and Nottingham

Most of us have now experienced separation from loved ones at Christmas because of the pandemic so we understand how hard that is. For many families, this year will mean being apart because a loved one is in prison. Prisoners themselves tell us that being in prison on Christmas day is very difficult.

For those among us affected by the criminal justice system, hope is essential. Pact invites supporters, families, friends and colleagues to come together, looking forward to Christmas in hope, at one of our Carol Services.

We are delighted that Bishop Richard Moth, Liaison Bishop for Prisons will be presiding at our London Carol service; and Bishop Patrick McKinney, Bishop of Nottingham, will be presiding at our inaugural Nottingham Carol Service. There will be readings, prayers, uplifting singing and lived experience testimony, as well as the opportunity to meet Pact staff and volunteers over refreshments following the service. All are welcome.

London: Tuesday 6 December 7pm at Farm Street Church, Mayfair.

At Christmas, Pact also offers you the chance to support families affected by imprisonment through our Operation Elf campaign. This campaign helps mums and dads in prison to give a gift (a £15 gift card) to their children at Christmas. Not only is the gift important in empowering parents to maintain their identity, it offers their children the chance to feel some of the joy and hope that Christmas can bring.
