London: Zimbabwe Vigil marks 20th anniversary

Church J&P groups and human rights campaigners will be gathering outside the Zimbabwe Embassy in London on Saturday, 15 October, from 2-5pm, to peacefully protest against the ongoing gross violations of human rights in Zimbabwe. The day will mark the 20th anniversary of the Vigil.

Thousands have taken part in the Vigil since it started in October 2002. Participants have pledged to continue until internationally-monitored, free and fair elections are held in Zimbabwe.

The Vigil takes place from 2-5pm outside the Embassy at 429 the Strand, near Charing Cross Station. All are welcome to join.
