Dr Michael Carter, Senior Properties Historian with English Heritage, will speak at St Mary's Church Hampstead, on Sunday 9 January 2022 from 4-5pm on the Dissolution of the Monasteries.

What are the facts about this event as opposed to the narrative from popular fiction? Dr Carter's role means he is responsible for curating the stories of the ruined monasteries, abbeys and priories of England. Come and hear rigorously researched evidence that will tell one a more nuanced, complicated and contrary history to that of writers of fiction.

This talk promises to be revealing and informative.

To reserve a place, please email the Parish Administrator Mary Stanier at: hampstead@rcdow.org.uk

The lecture will also be livestreamed here: www.churchservices.tv/hampstead
