PACT seeks Volunteer Coordinator CLOSED


The Prisoner Advice and Care Trust (PACT) seeks a Part Time Volunteer Coordinator - home based or working in a a Visits Centre across south east.

PACT is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to lead on volunteer recruitment, and support volunteers into their role within PACT's Family Services.

You will work closely with managers in the South East Family Services team (HMP Coldingley, HMP Downview, HMP East Sutton Park, HMP Huntercombe, HMP High down and HMP Send) to ensure the volunteers feel welcomed and have a positive experience. You will act as the initial point of contact for any volunteer enquiries and will support all interested volunteers through the recruitment process. Using a variety of recruitment avenues, such as churches, universities, and other local opportunities, you will work with managers to ensure that they have a diverse, competent team of volunteers to meet the needs of their services. You won't be doing this alone. You will also work closely with our National Volunteering Manager, colleagues in service delivery and our national communications and fundraising teams. As a result, you will see the benefits of your work and maintain contact with volunteers you have helped recruit.

This role is a 12 months fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension with further funding.

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will be passionate about social justice and have a good understanding of the role of volunteers in an organisation, including their motivation for volunteering. You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verval and have a high level of 'customer service'. You will be comfortable working and engaging with people from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels. You will need to have a positive attitude and be able to work on your own initiative and most importantly will make volunteers feel welcome and valued in their time with PACT.

Hours - 18.75 hours per week , Monday to Friday

Salary - £23,000 FTE (Actual £11,500)
