Fr John Kearns CP

Fr John Kearns, Provincial of St Joseph's Passionist Province died yesterday.

Paschal Somers, Passionist Development Worker, writes: "It is with great sadness of heart and with hope in the resurrection of the crucified Christ that we share the news that our beloved brother and friend Fr. John Kearns died yesterday (14th April 2021) at 5.40pm in the company of his loved ones.

"May Jesus, whom he served so faithfully in the least of his sisters and brothers, welcome him and bring comfort to those who will grieve his passing so deeply, especially his mum Eileen and his brother Anthony.

"As you know, John was a beautiful human being and an inspiring Passionist priest. "Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
