They weren't able to sing together for months because of lockdown - but this week, one London parish choir has released a beautiful rendition of Silent Night on YouTube.

Musician Simon Au directed the marathon project, with members of the music group from Holy Apostles, Pimlico. As well as singing and playing - he edited the films each person made to create the completed work. Most of the participants were in London - but there were also some in New York, Hong Kong, Rome, Madrid and Yorkshire.

London artist Ka Man Lok provided the beautiful Nativity scene. Simon Au and Yasmin Ile sing solo parts.

This is not the first time the choir of Holy Apostles has made a film. In May, after the first few weeks of lockdown, they released a version of the Carly Simon and James Taylor classic: You've Got a Friend.

Simon (who's day job is software engineer) started the year with his own composition for St Patrick's Day. In June, his cover version of the hit song Mojito got over 123,000 hits!
