Money Makes Change pledge

The September 2020 edition of the Ecumenical Council for Corporate Responsibility (ECCR) newsletter introduces the 'Money Makes Change Pledge', and the upcoming online conference 'Restoring Hope 2020'.

The 'Money Makes Change Pledge' is a new ecumenical resource for churches. The Pledge gives your church a framework to look at how you connect faith, money and ethics - in your church's financial decisions, teaching and worship, and in how you serve your neighbours, locally and globally. You can choose up to four actions to work on as part of your Pledge, for example switching to a more ethical bank, supporting local social enterprises or campaigning on tax justice.

The upcoming online event 'Restoring Hope 2020' 24-30 October will explore what the Bible says about money, how we can connect our faith and our finances, both as individuals and within our church communities, and how we can use the entirety of our resources to restore hope as stewards of God's creation. In light of recent restrictions and so many meetings and church gatherings continuing to meet online, ECCR staff are offering to be speakers at virtual meetings if you're interested in exploring the connections between faith and finance.
