Pope's Prayer Intentions for December 2018

For evangelisation: In the Service of the Transmission of Faith

That people, who are involved in the service and transmission of faith, may find, in their dialogue with culture, a language suited to the conditions of the present time.

Offering prayer

Father, here I am.
I know you are always with me.
I place my heart in the Heart of your Son Jesus,
who gives himself to us in the Eucharist each day.
May your Holy Spirit strengthen me to live the Gospel in everything I do and say.
For my part I give you this day--all my prayers,
works, joys, and sufferings--all I am and possess.
With Mary, mother of the Church, I pray for the
mission of the Church, for all Apostles of Prayer,
and for the intentions of the Pope this month. Amen.

Proposals for the month

During this month, dedicate a time to reflect in your community on the ways in which faith is transmitted in your community, the language they use, the methods and pedagogy used and how it is received by young people.
Help others in your family, and parish community, to prepare for Christmas, meditating on the Word of God, devoting time to prayer and to the central theme of this liturgical time.
Spend time with family and friends to talk and reflect about the meaning of Christmas, the meaning of the manger and the presence of Jesus in everyone's life, especially at home.
