Westminster: Refugee Week Service and Workshop

Share the Journey is the theme of this year's Lampedusa Cross Service for Refugees and Migrants at Westminster Cathedral - as one of the events marking Refugee Week.

Organised by Westminster Justice and Peace, CARITAS and CAFOD the service is being held in a side chapel on Friday 15th June 6.15 for 6.30pm.

In response to Pope Francis' invitation to raise awareness of the rights of people on the move, the Catholic Community worldwide has stepped up in support. But world leaders must step up too, and agree ambitious new UN agreements on refugees and migration in 2018 .

The service will be followed by a workshop led by Safe Passage, the campaigning group, on unaccompanied child refugees and their legal access to the UK. at 7.15pm in the Hinsley Room, Morpeth Terrace, behind Westminster Cathedral.
