London: Catholic History Walks


For King and Country, following in the steps of St Thomas More, Guy Fawkes and Pugin - through the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey - the first of a new series of Catholic History Walks, takes place this Sunday, 3rd June at 3pm. Meet on the steps of Westminster Cathedral. Cost: £5, concessions available.

Other walks include:

A visit to St Mary's University Twickenham on Wednesday, 13th June, 2pm. Britain's only Catholic university - a tour led by the author of its official history. Meet at the university main entrance. Nearest Station: Strawberry Hill.

The Annual Martys' Walk on Sunday 24th June, 2pm. A devotional walk from St Sepulchre-without-Newgate tracing the route of the martyrs to Tyburn,concluding with Benediction.

A tour round the West End on Monday 2nd July, 6pm - exploring the development of Catholic London - ever more varied, fascinating, crowded, difficult, vibrant. Meet at St Patrick's Soho Square.

Please wear suitable footwear and plan for the weather. Walks may take up to two hours.
