London: Meeting for young people ahead of Bishops' Synod
In October, bishops from all over the world will meet in Rome with Pope Francis to discuss the topic of 'Young People, the Faith and Vocational Discernment' In preparation for this important event, the bishops of Westminster would very much like to hear the views of young people at a special meeting on Tuesday, at Queen Mary's University, east London.
Topics will include:
1) What is life really like for young adults in our own context here in Britain? What are your struggles, hopes, fears, aspirations?
2) What role does your Christian faith, if any, play in your life? Does it give you a sense of purpose? Does it help or hinder you in understanding who you are and what you're meant to do with your life?
3) What more can the Church do to help you and what things might you like to do for the Church, particularly in regards to helping you understand who you are and what God wants for you in life.
This meeting is an important opportunity for you to make your voice heard and to help our bishops give the best advice to the Pope at the time of the Synod.
The meeting takes place on Tuesday, 20 March from 6.30 - 8.30pm at Queen Mary's University of London, Mile End Road, E1 4NS London, United Kingdom
