London: Mass for Artists & exhibition news

A Mass for Artists is held each month at St Patrick's Church on Greenbank in Wapping, east London - home to the St Patrick's artists community.

Artist Alice Robertson said: "The Mass is attended by artists and parishioners and it is just great that we can lift all our needs in the great prayer of the Mass, and also in the parish of our studios, where we feel very much part of a wider community. Working as an artist is quite lonely working and certainly full of its particular struggles, so this is a great opportunity for us to come together and pray for each other as individuals and as a group. Anyone is welcome to come and join us and have a coffee afterwards. It is generally good to check nearer the time as sometimes the Masses have to be rescheduled to fit in with parish.

Masses are at 9am on Thursdays 25th January and 22nd February. Contact Alice Robertson 07714200505 or St Patrick's parish office 020 7481 2202 to confirm.

An exhibition of work by artists from St Patrick's studios and friends, at the Servite Church, 264 Fulham Road, SW10 9EL, has been extended to February.
