Help safeguard the future of Catholic education
In 2016, the Government promised to lift the 50% cap on faith admissions for new religious schools in England saying the cap was unfair to the Catholic community.
The Conservative party even included a commitment to remove the cap in its manifesto. The Catholic Bishops of England and Wales have asked as many Catholics as possible to contact the Secretary of State for Education urging her not to break the Government's promise.
Archbishop Malcolm McMahon said: "Being a Catholic should never be a barrier to getting into a Catholic school. We'd be failing our young if our community was to let this happen.. Support parental choice. Write to the Secretary of State for Education."
