Prayers for refugees in ruins of Coventry Cathedral
Light the Way - the Christian Aid Vigil for Refugees, was held on the steps of Coventry Cathedral ruins on Wednesday evening. The ecumenical event was supported by Pax Christi and CAFOD. The Lampedua Cross was held by each person in turn, to remember all those who have died fleeing from the ravages of war and in solidarity with those who are suffering atrocities now.
Everyone received a Lampedusa Cross card and was invited to write a message to refugees.
On Friday night, 16th December at 11.55pm, there will be a candlelight vigil and special prayers for Aleppo, in the Cathedral ruins.
