The statue of Our Lady of Walsingham, which was based in the crypt of Westminster Cathedral, will be enthroned in the Cathedral itself, at a special celebration in the chapel of St George and the English Martyrs, tomorrow, 8 December 2016, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
The programme begins with prayers and the Rosary at 4pm. At 5pm there will be Vespers, followed by Mass at 5.30 celebrated by Bishop John Sherrington, a procession and blessing of the new shrine.
The statue will be place on a specially commissioned pedestal - a gift made in Poland for this occasion.
