New CEO for Thai Children's Trust

Adrian Hatch

Adrian Hatch

Adrian Hatch has been appointed to the post of Chief Executive of Thai Children's Trust. He takes up his post from 1 March 2016.

He replaces Andrew Scadding who has successfully steered the charity forward over the last 17 years, supporting the care, health and education of some of the most disadvantaged children in Thailand.

Moving from his current post of CEO of International Refugee Trust (IRT), where he has been for the last nine years, Adrian has extensive experience of development work. He has a passion for Thailand where he has looked after the physical and mental well-being of children, and an enthusiasm for taking on a new challenge.

Adrian will start his new position with a three-week familiarisation visit to Thailand, travelling to several parts of the country to see the projects currently receiving help from Thai Children's Trust in the UK. He will meet key people on the ground and see at first-hand the work that is being undertaken.

"I am absolutely delighted to be heading up Thai Children's Trust and cannot wait to get started" says Adrian. "To have the opportunity of an induction at the start to see at first-hand the work that I shall be tackling is going to be invaluable. I look forward to developing a strong and dynamic working relationship with all the charity's stakeholders and carrying on the good work of my predecessor. I am sure it will be a tough but rewarding challenge."

Thai Children's Trust helps children at risk, children with HIV/AIDS, children with disabilities and orphans - providing a home, an education and a future for some 4,000 children, and reaching out to thousands more through health and nutrition projects.
