Bristol: St Brendan's Sixth Form College seeks Full Time Leader of Religious Studies


St Brendan's Sixth Form College is situated in the south of Bristol in an exceptional modern campus setting, and serves both the city and a wide surrounding area including Bath, and parts of Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. We are looking for exceptional leaders and managers to complete our journey to be an 'Outstanding' College.

Leader of Religious Studies, Full Time, Permanent

This is a 'reserved post' and applicants must be practising Catholics.

Can you lead and contribute to our Catholic ethos where dignity and respect are at the heart of the College, and each student is valued and nurtured?
Do you have knowledge of the RS/RPE curriculum and examination system in England?

As our leader on Catholic Faith you will give strategic direction and oversee our Religious Studies and Religion, Philosophy & Ethics provision to ensure the religious and spiritual needs of the College are addressed and the College succeeds in its Catholic mission. Reporting directly to the Principal, you will line manage the College Chaplain as well as the RS/RPE curriculum staff and represent the College at Diocesan events. You will also lead on all matters relating to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, including its impact on the curriculum.

Salary will be on the Sixth Form Colleges' Teacher Manager's pay spine, Grade A, currently £36,896 - £39,487 per annum including Performance Standards Payment.
