London: Talks on China and Climate Change


'China and Climate Change' is the topic of this year's talks at the 15th Annual General Meeting of Cultural Exchange with China on Saturday 23 May.

Keynote speakers are Columban eco-theologian Fr Sean McDonagh and Rob Elsworth, CAFOD's China Climate Policy Analyst. Columban Fr Eamonn O'Brien, Director of Cultural Exchange with China, will also address the topic: 'Transcending the Made in China Tag'.

The business of the AGM and planning for the future will be part of the day. The event will take place at St Aloysius Church (Parish Hall), 20 Phoenix Road, Euston, London NW1 1TA. (Nearest underground: Euston. No Parking at Church) All are welcome.

London-based Cultural Exchange with China developed out of a realisation of the significance of China in today's world and a desire to help build bridges between the peoples and Churches of Britain and China. It comprises individuals and organisations who are interested in China: teachers who have worked in China; individual lay people and representatives from various Dioceses and Catholic lay organisations: the Columban Fathers; Sisters and Lay Missionaries; Xaverian Missionaries; Daughters of Charity; Faithful Companions of Jesus; Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood; Mill Hill Missionaries; Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary (Chigwell Sisters); and the Vincentians.
