Cause for Sainthood: Crown Prince Otto von Habsburg

Dr Otto von Habsburg

I report with delight that according to my understanding, Bishop Dr Konrad Zdarsa of Augsburg in Germany took a step towards the process, what could lead to the beatification of the much loved late Crown Prince of my country of birth, Hungary.

It is my sincere hope, that this magnificent process will shed light on the incomparable life-story of Crown Prince Otto, who became known as Dr. Otto von Habsburg. Tragic political events filled his life with hardships, which would have destroyed him, but his spiritual wealth, his deep faith helped him to survive and to spend nearly ten decades on this earth, to benefit very many people.

The Lord granted him, to live the day when his Father, The Emperor-King Karoly IV was declared as "Blessed".

I admired Dr Otto von Habsburg for his fantastic energies, for his wonderful understanding of people of different background and circumstances and for the richness of his heart, by what he was able to benefit so very many people.

I am aware that it was the blessing of God, that the sensitive communication of Dr v. Habsburg aided my life and almost miraculously aided me in the gravest upheaval of my difficult life as a refugee. I trust that his life-story shall become inspiration for many to dispense Good Will.
