Our Lady of Walsingham

Our Lady of Walsingham

Mgr Keith Newton bestowed the ministry of Lector and Acolyte on Andrew Harding at St John's Seminary, Wonersh, on Thursday, 25 April, the feast of Saint Mark. Andrew is the first seminarian of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham. He began studies for the Anglican ministry at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield, before being received into the Catholic Church in 2011.

Meanwhile Robert Smith from the Sevenoaks Ordinariate Group was admitted to candidacy for the Permanent Diaconate on Sunday by Mgr Newton at a Solemn Mass at St John the Baptist in Westerham, Kent. The Ordinary celebrated and preached. Robert has also recently become a father. Fr Ivan Aquilina - a priest of the Personal Ordinariate - currently serves the diocesan parish and members of the Ordinariate Group.
