The Archdiocese of Birmingham is seeking to appoint an outstanding educational professional as Director of Education. The successful applicant will be responsible to the Executive Director and the Trustees of the Archdiocese of Birmingham and will lead the strategic development of the Diocesan Education Service by successfully promoting its declared mission and further developing its policies and its relationships with schools and external agencies.
The successful applicant will be a practising Catholic with wide experience in education, capable of providing professional guidance to schools in a time of significant educational change.
The current Director, Fr Jonathan Veasey, will become Executive Director to advise the Archbishop and the Trustees of the Diocese on strategies and policies relating to education and to oversee the DES.
