London: Carmelite group to reflect on Laity and Vatican II
On Saturday 2 February, the Carmel in the City Carmelite Spirituality Group in London will gather for its monthly meeting at St Joseph's Church in Lamb's Passage off Bunhill Row, EC1Y 8LE.
To mark the 'Year of Faith', the Carmel in the City community warmly invites you to re-member the 50th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council in a series of monthly days of reflection on the Council's key documents and themes with a variety of speakers.
The theme on this occasion will be "The Second Vatican Council and Laity - A Carmelite View", with input from Fr Antony Lester, O.Carm, a Carmelite friar from the community in York.
All are welcome to join this community as it explores the treasures of Carmelite prayer, spirituality, and Carmel's prophetic tradition of service with the poor and action for justice. Carmel in the City offers an opportunity in the heart of London to explore one of the Catholic Church's richest spiritual traditions for those thirsting for God.
