Beauty and the Beast at Shepperton

Panto cast
St John Fisher Catholic Church in Shepperton, west London, will launch their fundraising panto season on Saturday 26 January with a sparkling performance of Beauty and the Beast in the parish hall. Proceeds from the pantomime will raise much needed funds for the annual pilgrimage to Lourdes, enabling pilgrims, the sick and their helpers to travel to the famous shrine.
Both the pantomime and the pilgrimage have long been a part of parish life for the Shepperton players, as well as a most enjoyable evening’s fun for all. Final rehearsals are under way, for the event which includes a special cameo part for Parish Priest, Father Peter Scott.
Organiser Anne Goody said: “We’ve had a huge response to our appeal for help with the event bringing all sorts of hidden talent out into the light. Painters, electricians, actors and general helpers will help to make this a night to remember. We are looking forward to a great show.” In addition to the three productions on 26th January, and 1st and 2nd February there will be a special performance exclusively for 'One to One' the local charity for children with learning difficulties.
While the first night is a sell out, some tickets are still available for 1st and 2nd February performances. They can be obtained from Anne Goody 07910 026575 or goodyan@ntlworld.com.
