Relics of Don Bosco at Westminster Cathedral

St John Bosco

St John Bosco

The relics of Don Bosco arrived at Westminster Cathedral today, Friday 11 January. Crowds of people queued for this once in a lifetime chance to venerate the relics of this popular saint. The visit is part of a tour of Great Britian which began on 4 January in Glasgow and will conclude on Monday 14 January in Southwark.

Larger crowds are expected tomorrow when the relics will be on show on Saturday from 8am - 1.30pm. A special Mass will be celebrated in the presence of the relics by Bishop Alan Hopes at 2pm. All are welcome to attend.

After the Mass the relics will be taken to Southwark Cathedral where pilgrims will be able to venerate the relics from 3.30pm on Sunday 13 January.
