Runners wanted for Comrades Marathon in South Africa

Missio is looking for runners to take part in the 56 mile Comrades Marathon in South Africa on 3 June 2012. Limited places are available for a few days only. Money raised will fund a local project to support the hungry, the homeless and those living in poverty in Durban, South Africa.
The marathon, which starts in Pietermaritzburg and finishes in Durban, is known as the Ultimate Human Race. Missio is supporting a project to build the Denis Hurley Centre next to Durban Cathedral and needs to commit runners to the Marathon immediately. The Centre will feed the hungry, provide healthcare for those in need, educate children, support refugees and look after the poor.
The project is named after Archbishop Denis Hurley who was a prominent figure in the struggle against Apartheid and other social injustices. If you would like to continue his good work by competing in the Comrades Marathon to raise money for the Denis Hurley Centre, and are in a position to travel, please get in touch as soon as possible.
Spaces are dependent upon sufficient interest. For more information please contact Danny Curtin or Fiona Paley on 020 7969 9585 or email fiona@missio.org.uk
