New song to celebrate feast of St Francis

The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity in Wisconsin feature singer-songwriter James Lee Stanley's 'What Would You Do?' as their free download at the Franciscanized World through October.

James said: "What Would You Do, was inspired by the idea that protests songs only reach those who are already in agreement. I thought I needed to write a song that the opposition and perhaps effect what I considered to be positive change."

With a sentiment not far from the more foundational question of 'What Would Jesus Do", Stanley gentle inquires "All of our lives we've been told paradise resides in the heavens above, what would you do if you suddenly knew it was here with the people you love?"

James Lee Stanley was born in Philadelphia and has been recording and performing since he was fourteen. He has opened for such diverse acts as Bonnie Raitt, Robin Williams, Nicolette Larson and Bill Crosby. His most recent release is the popular 'Backstage at the Resurrection'.

Established in 1869, the Roman Catholic Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity serve in Catholic Health Care, Education and Parish-Community Service throughout the United States. From their Motherhouse convent in Wisconsin, mission locations extend across the US From St Theresa in Kekaha, Hawaii, the westernmost parish in the US, to rural Ohio and the dioceses of Columbus and Steubenville from St Peter Mission School near Phoenix, to parochial schools in the Green Bay, Jackson and Omaha Dioceses.
