Irish Chaplaincy annual tea dance
The Irish Chaplaincy in Britain held their annual tea dance at Southwark Cathedral yesterday at St George's Cathedral in Southwark last Thursday.
The day began at 3pm with Mass celebrated by The ICB’s own Fr Gerry McFlynn and the newly appointed Canon of St George's, Canon John O’Toole, and proceeded to the Cathedral’s main hall for an afternoon for good craic, full of chatter, good conversation and cake.
More than eighty people many of them service users and supporters of the ICB’s older person project, enjoyed the annual event.
Manager of the Irish Chaplaincy’s Older persons project Paul Raymond said: “This is an important event which the ICB are delighted to be part of, it offers people the chance to get back to their roots, to reconnect with the community, and for many, the chance to break free from the isolation they may feel in the community”
