Vote for Community Champions Carl and Ann Gross
Carl and Ann Gross are star fundraisers for the Thai Children's Trust. They are passionate gardeners, but they are also passionate about helping vulnerable children in Thailand. It's thanks to their hard work and dedication that the charity has been able to feed and educate many needy children. They have raised over £24,000 through their organic vegetable stall at Deddington Farmers' Market in north Oxfordshire.
Community Channel is the UK's only digital broadcaster dedicated to highlighting issues from the community, voluntary and charitable sector, both locally and internationally. 2010 marks their tenth anniversary. So to celebrate being on air for a decade, wthey have launched Community Champions - a nationwide campaign to encourage the people of Britain to nominate those unsung heroes who’ve put something back into their communities to help make them better places for us all to live and work.
A panel of independent judges will select five winners from the top 20 nominees, rather than just one. All five will now appear in a TV documentary profiling their outstanding contribution to their communities.
