Premier Radio increases Catholic programming

Following the Papal Visit, Premier Radio has increased its Catholic on-air content by adding two more Catholic programmes to its Sunday scheduling. Founder of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and preacher Fr Benedict Groeschel will be heard for the first time in the UK nationally and digitally on Premier Christian Radio.
Premier will also be airing Faith & Culture, an international television and radio interview show hosted by Colleen Carroll Campbell which helps viewers move beyond the day's headlines, consider contentious debates from a Christian perspective, and learn to explain and defend Christian principles.
Apart from co-producing The Papal Visit newspaper, of which almost 200,000 were distributed, Premier took out advertising on the tube and elsewhere, welcoming Pope Benedict XVI to London. The paper was distributed almost everywhere he went including Glasgow, Heathrow and Birmingham airports. It was even handed out by cabin crews on flights from Glasgow to London. In some places, people insisted on paying for it in spite of being told it was free.
Nick Layton from CathCom thanked Premier for its part: "Thanks has to go out to our team who worked up to 22 hours a day to make this happen and also to Premier Christian Radio without whose help the paper would not have been free and the project would not have been so successful."
All four editions are available to view at www.papalvisitpaper.co.uk
