Keep hope alive for Iraq hostages
Members and supporters of Pax Christi, the International Catholic Movement for Peace, are being urged to remember each day the abducted peace-workers in Iraq, Norman Kember, Tom Fox, Harmeet Singh Sooden and James Loney. Abducted on 26 November, the four were in Iraq with the Christian Peacemaker Team. Pax Christi has called for prayers to be said at noon each day and for a simple poster to be placed in windows of homes and churches to remind communities of the plight of the hostages. They also call for prayers for the peace-workers and their families, for the captors, that they may be open to the message of peace brought to them by Norma, Tom, Harmeet and James and for the people of Iraq who face, on daily basis, the on-going violence of occupation.
