Were you a pupil at St Bede's College in Manchester? Would you be interested in getting together with others who were also at St Bede's? We're planning to revive the college Bedian Alumni, and create opportunities for Bedians to get together again, and catch up with each other.

This is just one of a number of initiatives to create a new energy amongst Bedians, coinciding with the 140th Anniversary of the College. A number of events are planned, including an informal after work reunion drink in Manchester at the Great John Street Hotel on Tuesday 21st March 2017 at 6pm. There is also a London Reunion at the Barbican on Friday October 6th 2017 at 6.30pm. The college's new Development Officer, Suzanne Wheeler says "We've been able to re-establish contact with 450 Bedians already, and both we and they are really excited about the events".

"These are informal events giving you the opportunity to mix and catch up with each other." adds Suzanne. There are no age limits, and whether you were at the college in the 40s or as recently as last year, you'd be really welcome. Ex pupil Mike Walsh (1970-77), pictured right, says "I returned to the college this year for the first time in a few decades, and had a great time just looking around - being there for a couple of hours brought back some fun memories, particularly of the teaching staff". Mike's planning to be at the London event, and he's looking forward to others, particularly from 70-77, being there.

The Manchester Drinks is a pay bar at the hotel, in The Library Suite. The London Reunion costs £25 per head, payable in advance and will take place in the Conservatory of the Barbican. For both events we do need to know numbers in advance for safety reasons.

More details to follow..

If you'd like to come along to either event, or if you'd like more information, then please contact Suzanne at 0161 226 3323, by e-mail on or visit the College website:
